O4 - Eileen Lewenstein Dish This Eileen Lewenstein dish came from the internet. I always wonder about internet items, but much about this piece looks good. I would like to see more of her items so I can confirm if this is genuine or not. The Eileen dish is VERY finely made, but I would like to compare it to be sure. Beautiful yellow-brown-green decoration and the typical footed base. The rim is wafer thin. It does seem to have a lot in common to this porcelain piece by Lucy Rie dated 1979 in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Described as "Porcelain, with glaze stained with metal oxides and with bronzed rim". Bronze? http://www.vam.ac.uk/images/image/27606-popup.html

Notes & comments: 03.06.2010 EL peices in the collection at Aberystwyth with several items from the mid 70's that cam direct from the Craft Potters' Exhibition . £10 bought a lot back then apparently. The dish is has some similar characteristics but I prefer mine if it's real.
