Briglin Pottery Animal Hoard

Credit to the original collector who found these. They are a great collection. By the tape on the bottom these were part of someone’s stall? If they were yours then please drop me an email as I would love to know where and how you got them. I’m assuming they came from the London area as this quantity will be hard to find elsewhere in the country.

Two Briglin Pottery cats. The taller one is possibly thre rarer although this one is not a moneybox.

Briglin.com.A38.02

Briglin Pottery Penguins are rare. They are some of the orignal 50’s animals and the little one on the right (AF) is white clay. Neither are moneyboxes.

Briglin.com.A38.03

Three big, three small rabbits. Back row are moneyboxes with a slot in the back.

Briglin.com.A38.04

A group of Briglin Pottery Owls. The largest in the front ros in infact a John Virando (Ex Briglin Potter) JV Pomander. Again the back row function as moneyboxes with a vertical slot to put the coins in.

x2 Briglin Pottery Moles. Larger is a moneybox with a horizontal slot.

Briglin.com.A38.06

These two are the less common Hedgehogs. Probably sixties.

Briglin.com.A38.08

Briglin Pottery Hedgehog Moneyboxes (Moneyboxes back row only). Dan Antopolski – “Hedgehogs – why can’t they just share the hedge?”

Briglin.com.A38.09

Briglin Pottery moneybox Brids. I have always assumed that these are Robins because of theire red breasts. All Moneyboxes.
